1. Approval of minutes
Minutes from 7/23/2020, 11/19/2020/, 11/23/2020, 12/2/2020 and 2/10/2021 were
submitted and approved.
2. Continue VOIP discussion. Hosted VS Un-hosted
Eric Steinberg of ELS Communications presented information about Un-hosted VOIP
phone systems. Premise based IP which uses a combination of a wired and internet
solution with hardware installed at the town hall to provide the interface. 10 trunk lines
would be included in a package which equates to ten individual phone lines operating at
the same time. This is similar to the existing system. To provide back up there would
need to be a continuing number of phone lines or cell modems in case there is an
emergency with fiber, internet or power. This is trunk line licensing not per seat user
licensing. Hosted service requires per seat user licensing.
This discussion will be continued.
3. Old and New business.
Discussed moving forward with research into camera installation at the town hall. A
staff meeting to discuss needs for and locations of cameras was held. A flexible, cloud
based system, with no onsite hard storage is being investigated.
