Agenda‌ ‌item‌ ‌#‌1‌‌ ‌-‌ ‌‌Open‌ ‌Meeting: ‌‌The‌ ‌meeting‌ ‌convened‌ ‌at 7:00‌ ‌pm.‌ ‌Chairperson‌ Geoffrey Geane ‌

opened‌ ‌the‌ ‌meeting‌ ‌and‌ ‌read‌ ‌the‌ agenda. ‌Introductions‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌board‌ ‌members‌ ‌were‌ ‌made. ‌ There‌ was‌ ‌a‌ ‌quorum; five‌ ‌voting‌ ‌members‌ ‌and‌ ‌two‌ ‌alternate‌ members ‌present‌. ‌ ‌

 

Agenda‌ ‌item‌ ‌#2‌‌ – To hear and Act upon the application of D & J Development, LLC for an Extension to Special Permit Case No. 2019-09-01 previously granted on September 3, 2019, by the Board under Section 3.3.3 of the Zoning By-law of the Town of Otis. Address/Location: Reservoir Road, Otis, MA 01253. Assessor’s Map 16 B, Lot 3

Discussion: Mr. Donahue was asked if he would like to add anything. He stated the application summed up where they are at. Travis Ward asked the board if felt they should review the original application as an extension would be for an additional two years and would live with any successive owner. Larry Gould stated the special permit would be for the property, not the owner. Robin brought up concerns about two building on the property and the possibility of changing the permit to remove them.  Terry Gould stated the extension would need to be extended as it exists. Geoff Geane noted this application is for the removal and rebuild of just the small structure on the lake side of the road.Public comments were closed. Terry Gould made a motion to accept the application for extension of the special permit as it was granted in September 2019. The extension would be until September 2023. Robin Peterson seconded the nomination. Roll call vote was taken.

Discussion:   Jim Kauffman made a motion to approve the minutes. Terry Gould seconded the approval.

The motion carried 6-0. RoseAnn DeRupo obstained as she wasn’t at the last meeting.

 

Agenda‌ ‌item‌ ‌#4–Update from the Building Inspector‌ ‌ ‌

Discussion: ‌ Currently do not have any applications coming up.

 

Agenda‌ ‌item‌ ‌#5‌– Old Business and New Business/ Items unanticipated by the chair‌

Discussion: ‌ The board discussed the need to hire a new clerk. Geoffery Geane asked about a current job description on file. Larry stated the Town Hall should have a general job description on file. RoseAnn questioned if the job guaranteed minimum hours.

Discussion: ‌Due to Labor Day the next meeting will be on Tuesday, Septmber 7, 2021
