Meeting called to order at 6:00 pm in the Town Hall Conference Room and a quorum is present.

Present: Bill Hiller, George Mabee, Larry Gould, Frank Tolopko, Laurie Flower, Lisa D’Orazio, John Shannon, Michael Ernst

New Email Implementation. John Shannon was here to discuss the quote he submitted for the new email implementation. The quote lists pricing for various licensing and explains what types of licensing are needed for various ways users need to access our data. A completely priced quote will not be available until Technology has a complete list of the required email usage by user. We probably need to bring a handful of machines up to Microsoft Office 2016. Eight of our licenses are good, so we need to take eight from the total number of licenses. WebRoot is the antivirus being recommended.

Approval of Meeting Minutes. Lisa presented the minutes Bill distributed as Lisa was not here last meeting. Bill asked that the approval of the August minutes be tabled until the next meeting.

Extra Inventory. Bill brought in boxes of equipment that are not being used in house. He believes if we keep the patch cords and some printer cables, we’ll use them. None of the rest of the equipment is of use to us and is not worth declaring as surplus, so the public is welcome to help themselves to it.

Broadband Updates. Phase 2 customer installations will begin in the beginning of October. We are currently running strand and fiber for Phase 3 and we just got licensing for part of Phase 4. The plans for the hut at the Main Fire House have been drawn up and the town is ready to go with that. So far we have 885 applications, which is half the town residences.

Other:

Access to the Property Database. Heather discovered that she can no longer save documents to the digital database for our property documents that’s located on MyBooks. We asked John Shannon about this and he was not aware that this was an actively used database. He’ll look into this.

Vadar. They will be coming in next week to install the Payroll and Human Resources modules so we will have them up and running for the beginning of the new calendar year. After those two modules are working then the others will be installed with the new Chart of Accounts.
