The property is shown on the Otis Assessor’s Map 17C, Lot 10 located at 41 North Lake Avenue, Otis, MA
Meeting at convened 7:01 pm.
Chairman Therese Gould read public notice. The applicant requests a Zoning By-Law Special Permit under Sec. 3.3.5 and Sec 3.3.1 of the Otis Zoning by-laws as to expand two existing decks and construct two sets of stairs within the required setbacks. This was a continuation of the March 7, 2016, meeting.
The legal notice of the hearing was published in the Berkshire Eagle on February 22, 2016, and February 29, 2016. The abutters and town boards were notified on February 18, 2016.
Kathy Couch, clerk, gave Terry Gould the letter that was received on March 28, 2016, from Dennis Stempel. Terry read the letter into the record. The letter is requesting that the board extend the hearing until June 6, 2016. Also, the letter requests that the time for rendering a decision on their application for a special permit dated be stopped. The time requirement will start at the June 6, 2016, meeting.
Kathy Couch made a motion to extend the continuation until June 6, 2016, and restart the perio0d for decision on the application on the application at the June meeting.
James Kauffman seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
Agenda item #3 –Update for next meeting
Discussion: The next meeting will be Monday, May 2, 2016, to hear a new application.
Also, there will be a June 6, 2016, meeting to hear the Stempels’ application.

Discussion: The clerk, Kathy Couch, stated there is no mail.
Agenda item #6– Approve minutes from previous meeting
Discussion: All voted to accept the minutes as discussed and amended from the September 9, 2015 meeting.
