Select Board Meeting Minutes
October 29, 2019
Call to Order: Meeting was called to order at 6:01 pm in the Town Hall conference room to conduct interviews for the Selectmen’s Secretary and Town Administrator positions. A quorum was present and the meeting was recorded.
Present: Select Board members Gary Thomas, Bill Hiller, Larry Southard, Town Administrator Becky Stone, Terry Gould, Laura Lee Bertram, Margaret McClellan, Carl McKinney, Stacey Schultze, Patricia Richard, and Nancy Crandall were present.
Interviewees: Stacey Schultze, Laura Lee Bertram, Carl McKinney
The Select Board conducted interviews with the following candidate for the position of Selectmen’s Secretary: Stacey Schultze. The following candidates were interviewed for the position of Town Administrator: Laura Lee Bertram and Carl McKinney. Each candidate offered background information, availability, explained their interest in serving the Otis community and answered questions regarding their qualifications. They were all given an overview of what the Select Board is looking for in each position.
There was discussion about the Selectmen’s Secretary applicant and the Board unanimously agreed to offer her the position. Following that discussion, the Select Board unanimously agreed to meet again on Friday, November 1st at 8:00 am to make a decision about the Town Administrator position. The current applicants are qualified, but the Board would like to meet after having checked on references.
Adjournment: At 7:55 pm the Select Board unanimously adjourned the Select Board meeting.
