Pursuant to the Governor’s March 12, 2020 order suspending certain provisions of the Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, Sec 18, this meeting is being held via remote participation to the greatest extent possible. Every effort is being made to ensure that any member of the public may access the meeting in real time, via technological means. Agendas will be amended to show the link and participation code to access the meeting no sooner than 48 hours before. Recordings and/or draft proceedings of the meeting will be available on our website as soon as possible.
Call to Order. The meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm remotely through Zoom. A quorum was present.
Present: Bill Hiller, Heather Morgan, Brandi Page, Larry Southard, Gary Thomas, John from Eversource, Theresa Gould, Evan from Berkshire Record, Lyn O’Brien, Patricia Richard and Phone in Guest
Approval of Select Board Minutes.
Minutes from April 14th, March 10th, March 12th and March 24th were unanimously approved.
Pole Hearing, Eversource, New Hollywood Blvd.
John from Eversource joined the meeting and he is requesting to set a pole for a house that is being built on New Hollywood Blvd. Notices had been mailed to abutters. Motion to allow the pole to be set. The Select Board unanimously voted to allow the pole to be set.
BRPC contract for HMP & MVP
The Select Board would like to confirm that Jeremiah has looked over the document. Motion to accept the contract with Jeremiah’s approval. The Select Board voted unanimously to accept the contract with Jeremiah’s approval.
St. Paul’s Article
Jeremiah approved the changes made to the article. The Select Board voted to add the St. Paul’s article to the warrant for the Annual Town Meeting.
Approval & Signatures for Bond
The Select Board voted unanimously to roll the interest into a Bond.
Recreation Donation Acct., Helmets
The town has removed the helmet line from the upcoming budget. Motion to allow the Recreation department to purchase helmets out of their donation account. Select Board unanimously voted yes.
Vote to postpone Town Meeting
Brandi recommended June 16th for town meeting with the signing of the warrant on May 27. All agreed.
Review and Approval of Warrants.
No warrants to be signed tonight.
Any topics not reasonably anticipated by the Chair at the time of the original posting.
The Cultural Council would like to hold over money and move it over to another account. They cannot legally do that. The money can’t be held and then moved to another account.
Patricia talked about activity packets the Recreation Commission would like to pass out to children. She would like to know if the Rec Commission should request a line item change or use their revolving account. It would be easier if they use their revolving account and it’s not a lot of money, $400 or $500 total.
