MINUTES
Members Present: Nick DellaGiustina, Jessica Drenga, Hillary Howard, Carol Lombardo, John Skrip, Arlene Tolopko, Tom Nadolny, and Jane Gleason
Absent: Sandy Snyder
Guests: Laurie Flower and Teri Gardino
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by the chair, Nicholas DellaGiustina.
Approval of Minutes of Meeting #339: Carol Lombardo motioned to approve minutes as submitted. Arlene Tolopko seconded the motion.
Update on busing: Teri Gardino to discuss busing issues. Teri explained it was a rough start. Both Middle and High School buses arrived late for the first few days. There was a substitute driver filling in, but the regular bus driver is back and the problem has been solved.
Teri did have an issue concerning a parent not being present at drop off. On a few occasions, the bus has had to wait 7-10 minutes for the parent to pick up the student from the bus. Tom said he would speak to that parent about the situation.
Update on school and staffing: Mr. Nadolny reviewed staff changes. All changes are going well. Tom also wanted to share that the District Attorney’s Office was here on the first day of the Teacher’s workshop. They spoke about the mandated reporting regulations. It was a very productive workshop.
Motion to move to executive meeting and to adjourn school committee meeting: Nick DellaGiustina motioned to move to executive meeting. Jess Drenga seconded.
