Minutes
1. Call to order & Introductions.
a. Meeting called to order at 6:34
b. Board Members Present: Dana Pustinger, Robin Martin, Wendy Peterson, Kelly Kennedy, and Jennifer Catolane
c. Board Members Absent: None
d. Others Present: None
2. Review and approval of prior meeting(s) minutes. Approved prior 2/26/2024 meeting minutes unanimously.
3. Accounting.
a. FY24 Budget balance – reviewed, no questions.
b. FY25 Budget – no update.
4. Programs/Events.
i. Funz Trampoline Park jump pass – no update.
ii. Otis Ridge Ski Voucher Program March 10th – 11 signed up but poor weather conditions, only 6 actually went. Discuss with Heather about contacting Ridge earlier in season to get people interested.
iii. Pickleball open house March 11th – about 30 participants attended the event. Joe Doboszynski helped get the event going and Rob Coco explained how to play. Four individuals volunteered to be on a pickleball committee for the program, Gleynis Arnold, Maria Wallington, Deb Cullings, and Carolyn Coco. After the event we posted a Google form to get contact information of those interested in playing pickleball, 20 have responded to the Google form. The most favorable day of the week for the majority that showed up to the open house is Wednesday followed by Tuesday. The most favorable day of the week for the majority is Monday for those who completed the Google form, Tuesday and Wednesday were tied for the next best. Rec committee members can not commit to a regular scheduled day of the week at this time, we will contact Heather Gray show works for the town and was interested in pickleball to find out if she’d be interested in attending regularly, if not we will have a committee interested players select an individual to “run” the program.
Request Heather to order 8 paddles to be stored at school with the nets.
iv. Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday March 30, 10am. Candy filled eggs arrived and bags arrived. Waiting on toy filled eggs. Wendy and Robin will fill the bags. Robin or Wendy will purchase hot cocoa and cookies. Still working on a person for the bunny suit.
5. Memos. Haven’t heard back from the Town Administrator and Selectboard for guidance on email from Denise Hardie regarding charging fees for children’s activities.
6. Old Business. None.
7. New Business. Annual report was reviewed by the commission and approved to be submitted.
8. Set the next meeting date. Monday April 22 @ 6:30
