Planning Board Meeting Minutes
March 14, 2016
Town Hall Inspectors’ Office
Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm in the Otis Town Hall Inspectors’ Room. The meeting is recorded and a quorum is present.
Present: Michael Ernst, Hal Kobrin, Jim Kauffman, Terry Cook, Al Koivisto
Approval of Minutes: The February 8, 2016 minutes were unanimously approved as written. Jim made the motion to accept and Michael seconded.
Other:
Transportation Advisory Council/TIP: Hal spoke with the selectmen and still has not received information back from them other than the four projects listed.
Complete Streets: Hal noted this program was geared for ADA compliance and access to everybody. A draft Complete Streets policy was presented to the Planning Board. Complete Streets is part of the Compact Community.
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church: The Episcopal Diocese has pulled the real estate listing and they are now re-evaluating what they want to do. Michael noted the recent Berkshire Record article and pointed out the article did not agree with what was voted on at the last meeting. The article stated the Planning Board supported the movement to save St. Paul’s Church and Michael pointed out the minutes stated the Planning Board only voted to present the facts to the Select Board.
Open Space and Recreation Plan: The updated document has been sent to Boston and we are now waiting for the State’s comments and changes before we can finalize the updated document. Per BRPC, the state has always recommended some change be made.
Michael E. moved the meeting be adjourned, Terry seconded, and the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 7:29 pm.
