Otis Library Meeting

Members present: Sue Brofman, chair, Diane Dyer Susan Ebitz, Lois Hall, Donna Rich, Tom Burke, Carol Reife, on Zoom: Jim Adams.
Invited Guest: Frank Tolopco
Sue Brofman called the meeting to order at 6:07 PM
Approval of November Annual Meeting Minutes: Diane made a motion, that was seconded by Donna to approve the Annual Meeting Minutes as amended. The motion was unanimously passed. Donna made a motion that was seconded by Diane to accept the minutes of the November 17th special meeting. It passed unanimously.
Approval of November Treasurer’s reports: A motion was made by Susan, seconded by Donna to accept the November Treasurer’s Report. The treasurer’s report was unanimously approved.
Director’s Report: (Delivered by Lois Hall)
Attendance: decreasing, 15-20 people on average
Eric Kreis & Crew had removed books from the back porch and stored books in the cellar. John Shannon was working on a computer that was blacking out. Lois said that she might need an additional 2-3 hours a week to complete library tasks when Kathy is no longer working.
New Director Search: Donna explained the purpose of the short- and long-term challenges worksheet. She offered to compile the responses for the January meeting.
Friends Group:
In addition to increasing the Otis Library Board of Trustees the Library wants to establish a Friends of the Otis Library Group. Diane will serve as the liaison between Board of Trustees and the Friends Group. Rosy Crittendon has joined. Frank discussed the steps the group will take to incorporate as a 501c3 and will advise Diane and Rosy.
Tom made a motion to adjourn that was seconded by Diane. The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 PM.
