MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 13,2019 COA MEETING
Meeting was called to order at 10.25 am by Ralph Gleason
In attendance were Ralph Gleason, Joe Rock, Carol Blakeslee, Dottie D’Delia. De Egee
Minutes of our Oct. 10th meeting were read. Motion to accept made by Dottie, seconded by De Egee. Vote was unanimous.
Dottie: Treasurer’s Report – all current bills paid, bookkeeping is up to date.
New Business: Ralph explained the finalization of contract for John Root musical program for our annual summer barbeque. COA will be billed $125 and Cultural Council will be billed $200.
Members approved the COA submission for Town Report
Proposed Senior Outreach Program: Ralph has submitted all the details regarding this proposed program to the Town Manager and it will ultimately be submitted to the Finance Committee and Select board for approval. De discussed the possibility of having volunteers do minor repairs and modifications for qualifying seniors who might be discovered through this program.
Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (10:50)- Patricia Mullen & Rebecca Haight from Berkshire Regional Planning Commission provided more details and an overview of the proposed CDBG grant to assist low and moderate income residents for housing rehab projects. Items discussed were the towns involved, income guidelines, timeline for applications, pre-qualified contractors, and the assurance of their hands-on assistance.
Roundtable Discussion: Ralph related that he was approached by Jim Crandall concerning the pantry beside the large kitchen. Because items have been missing, it will be locked in the future. This doesn’t involve us because we have all of our own supplies
