MINUTES OF OCTOBER 10, 2018 COUNCIL ON AGING MEETING
Meeting was called to order at 10:40 by Ralph
In attendance were Ralph; Dottie; Joe Rock; Carol; De Egee; Jane Bernasconi; Alice Gage; Evelyn Loring
Minutes of our September 12, 2018 meeting were read. Motion to accept was made by Dottie, seconded by De Egee. vote to accept was unanimous.
Dottie: Treasurers report by Dottie –All current bills paid, we are getting timely bank statements; Our on-line banking is giving up-to-date information.
New Business:
Ralph: Gave an update on trip activity and seats available. Our three-day trip to Ogunquit, Maine and our day trip to Lake Winnipesaukee are filled. Our other trips are showing good response.
Countryside Nurse, providing foot care to our Seniors. Her new contract calls for an increase to $40.00. It was decided to leave the Senior participation at $25.00 and the COA would pay $15.00, an increase of $5.00. All were in agreement.erH
Brown Bag Program: Lee Miller and Howard Hood have decided to step aside from picking up the food at the Food Bank because of health issues. Several volunteers have come forward. Jane Gleason will be primary with Carol as backup. A mileage stipend of $30.00 per trip was agreed on. Discussion on giving Lee a gift certificate to a local restaurant for his long-time service. This was tabled until our next meeting.
