COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES
JULY 21, 2021
Meeting was called to order at 10:30 AM
In attendance were Ralph Gleason, Jane Bernasconi, Dee Egee, Evelyn Loring,
Fred Olszewski, Eila Bell and Alice Gage.
Minutes of September 11, 2020 were read and accepted by unanimous vote.
Treasurer, Jane Bernasconi reported that all invoices have been paid and accounting for FY2021 has been closed.
Review of activities and possible future trips were discussed. Ralph will find out information on Newport Playhouse for upcoming 2022.
The Boston Post Cane project was discussed and was tabled for further discussions.
Participation in the upcoming Celebrate Otis event on August 21st and was agreed that
the COA would serve strawberry shortcake for $5.00 per serving with all profits going to
The Otis Preservation Trust fund.
Discussion on starting our “Out to Lunch” program. Jane Bernasconi will check on Ozzie’s for availability on August 6th. Jane will talk about a simplified menu that would be the same price for all.
Eila Bell’s performance as Outreach Coordinator was reviewed and all acknowledged her incredible dedication and professionalism.
There was no other business and the meeting was adjourned at 11:30 AM
