OTIS COA Offers Senior Share- A- Ride

It is sometimes difficult for Senior’s to get to a doctor, hospital appointment, or to pick up a prescription. This can be particularly hard in rural areas where no public transportation or taxi service is available. To address this problem in the town of Otis, MA, the Otis Council on Aging has organized a Senior Share-A- Ride program.  Any Senior in Otis who is 60 years or older can call the ride coordinator at 413 -269-4094 and leave a message with their name, address, phone number, where and when they need to go.

The coordinator will then make arrangements with one of our seven program volunteer drivers

and get back in touch with the passenger. To ensure that the ride can be provided, we are

requesting that the passengers make their request 72 hours in advance of the time when the

ride is needed. Neighbors helping neighbors is one of the great features of living in the Berkshires.

There is NO CHARGE for this service
