New Applicant Interviews
for Highway Laborer

Present: Chairwoman Roberta Sarnacki, Selectman Bill Hiller, Selectman Donald Hawley, Derek Poirier
Interviewee: Vernon Quinn
This meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm and it was announced the meeting was being recorded.
The interview was conducted with the interviewee and he was aware this was full time with benefits, with irregular hours during major weather events, and a hoisting license was preferred for the job. He was questioned by the Highway Superintendent and all three Select Board members. He has his Class A and B CDLs and plans to go for his hoisting license.
Post Interview Discussion: After the interview, Derek recommended the individual for the job. He discussed the Board members concerns, and because of the applicant’s experience, all agreed to match the previous hire’s starting salary. He will also be hired with a 90-day probation period.
Meeting adjourned at 6:25 pm.
