Otis Council on Aging
Board Meeting- August 19, 2024
The meeting was called to order at 1:50 pm.
Present were Eila Bell, Nancy Kreis, Evie Loring, Jane Bairnisconi, Diane Dyer, Janice Hawley, Elies DeVoti Dede Loring and Kandra Rybacki.
Secretary’s report was read and accepted.
Treasure’s report was read and accepted.
A three-person committee (Kandra, Elies, and Dede) will handle the Holiday Party.
Out to lunch on Oct. 3rd will be at the East Restaurant in Great Barrington Ma.
Out to lunch on Nov. 7th. Will be at Ozzie’s Steak and eggs in Hinsdale Ma.
It was suggested that the flags could be for sale at the pot luck luncheon.
Covid and flu clinic will have a preregistering on Sept. 25th 10-11 am.
Covid and flu clinic will be Oct. 17 at the town hall.
Diane stated Gratuities for the trip bus driver’s is $150. Per day trip. This is the COA responsibility.
Diane suggested that town residents receive a discount price for trips while non town members pay full price. (who is going to pay for the discount)
The trip to Margaretta Vill, was canceled. All payments were returned to travelers.
The director needs to be informed of any activities within the COA.
A big thanks to Kendra and all the ladies that worked making salads and baked beans for the barbeque in July. Rich was a very good grill man. It was a big success.
Cost for the Foot Nurse is $30 for Otis Residents and $55 for none residents.
We pay $300. A year to have our information in the Otis Observer.
