MINUTES
Otis Cultural Council
April 17, 2024
This meeting was conducted in person.
I. Call to Order: 6:05 Present: Jeanne Randorf, Carole Burke, Arlene Tolopko, Deb Fogel, Shanon Albee
II. Approval of the Minutes of 3/20/24: Arlene motioned to approve the minutes. Deb seconded the motion. The minutes were approved.
III. Chair Report (Jeanne):
A. Beautify Otis Program: We have 28 barrels. The Otis Cultural Council will give gift certificates for $25 a barrel, for a total of $700.00.
B. Member Terms/Status: Jeanne will provide this information at the next meeting.
C. Stephanie Skinner: She will make a schedule of volunteers to staff a table at the Otis Farmer’s Market to inform the public about community events and organizations in Otis.
IV. Financial Report (Shanon):
A. $1,875 received from recycling in January. There is a total of $14,000 in the account.
B. Bruce Mandell has been canceled
C. Ken Packi Statue: Arlene reported that he is working with the school on the statue ($5,000)
V. 2024 Programs:
A. The Juckets: Arlene has been in touch with Jana Pfeiffer about a performance at the school.
B. Concert at the Otis Gazebo: Carole will look into specifics about having a concert in Otis (rain dates, tents, etc).
VI. Recycling Program: Deb reported that the program has been very busy.
The next meeting will be on May 17, 2024 at 6:00.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:20.
