Call to Order: 6:30 PM
Approval of Minutes: The minutes from March 27th were approved as written.
Caucus Call: The Board reviewed and signed the Caucus Call for April 16th between 7:00-8:00 pm.
Paint Stewardship Program: The Board reviewed the material submitted by Thomas Irwin for the Paint Stewardship Program. Surrounding states already participate. Support from communities is being gathered so the initiative can be passed in Massachusetts. Paint retailers will collect a return fee similar to recyclable bottles and cans. Residents and communities will benefit by having a place to dispose of paint cans at no cost on that end. The Board was unanimously in support. Brandi will draft the support letter and leave it on the table for signatures.
Short Term Rental Bylaw: The Board reviewed the current bylaw draft. They felt the language about the compacter pass was confusing. Changed short term rental pass to commercial pass. The Board unanimously recommended the bylaw now go back to Planning for the public hearing requirement.
Recent and Upcoming Events: Brandi stated that the Maintenance work on the Police garage came out great and the police are very happy. Highway did a great job dealing with the recent weather and wind storm. The Rec Commission launched Pickle ball at the school which we heard was well attended. Easter Egg Hunt will be coming up. Details should be available on the Rec Commission’s Facebook page.
Review & Approval of Warrants: Payroll and vendor warrants are on the table for signature.
Not Anticipated by the Board: Rescue will not be able to attend our budget meeting on the 21st. Rick Phair has asked if the Board will pick an alternate night. The Board still plans to discuss Rescue that evening.
Adjournment: 6:47 PM
