4. Appointment of a Vice Chair
● The resignation of Jessica Drenga requires appointment of a Vice Chair.
5. School Committee Vacancy
● The Selectboard of Otis has the responsibility of filling the vacancy (MGL c 41 s11) created by the resignation of Jessica Drenga .
6. Superintendent’s Report
● Special Education Audit
7. Financial Report
● Establishment of an Efficient Warrant Procedure: MGL requires the school committee approval of warrants prior to release of checks. Two acceptable options are a) a majority of the committees signs off or, b) committee designates a single signer prior to release of the checks (MGL c71 s16A). The committee will vote on the preferred option.
● Report on the replacement of two sewer grinding pumps.
● The tuition agreement with Berkshire Hills Regional School District expires June 30, 2023.
8. Policy:
● The school committee will discuss the procedure for adopting a policy manual.
● The school committee will vote to adopt the following policies:
○ EBB – First Aid
○ EBC – Emergency Plans
○ JLCD – Administering Medicines To Students
○ JFABD – Homeless Students: Enrollment Rights And Services
○ JFABE – Educational Opportunities For Military Children
○ JFABF – Educational Opportunities For Children In Foster Care
9. Regional Agreement Amendment Process
● Dr. Steve Hemman, MARS Consultant Services, will explain the Regional Agreement Amendment Process.
