Otis Library Special Meeting Minutes

Members present: Jim Adams, Kerry Bean, Kathy Bort (Zoom), Sue Brofman, Tom Burke, Diane Dyer, Susan Ebitz, Lois Hall, Gloria Mamokhin, Carol Reife, Donna Rich, and Celeste Watman
Chair Sue Brofman began the meeting at 4:05 PM. What followed was a Full Board Interview with Applicant #1 for the position of Otis Library Director from 4:00 – 5:00PM. After a dinner break and second tour, the Full Board Interviewed Applicant # 2 for the position of Otis Library Director from 6:00 – 7:00 PM.
A discussion among the staff and board ensued with each member giving their input as to who would be the best fit for Director of the Otis Library. After this discussion, Celeste made a motion that was seconded by Carol to recommend applicant #2 to as the finalist candidate for director of the Otis Library. The motion was unanimously approved. Gloria followed with a motion to name applicant #2 as a semi-finalist, and a candidate the board also had confidence in, should applicant #1 refuse the position. Donna seconded it, and the motion passed unanimously. Susan E. will inform applicant #1 of the Board’s decision and offer.
Carol made a motion, seconded by Diane, to adjourn the meeting at 7:31 PM.
