June is the gateway to summer…  Jean Hersey

As you combine the Gateway to the Berkshires with the Gateway to summer you find many opportunities for this place and time.

Parents will be making plans for new places and activities as the school year ends and children have free days.  The Otis Library has been busy planning our summer programs.  Look forward to creative workshops, entertaining plays, great activities, and trying new things!  Most of our activities are family based so all can get involved. Our summer program will kick off with the annual Library Country Craft Fair on July 6, 2019 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Of particular note is one event that will be held this month of June.  CELLBLOCK VISIONS: Set Free In the Penitentiary is a slide/talk by Phyllis Kornfeld showing powerful artwork from her work in prisons and jails throughout the country.  In addition to showing artwork she will talk about her experiences and present words from the artists themselves.  This event is on June 26th at 7:00 pm in the library.  For more information please call the library.

We welcome many of our patrons who are returning from their winter residences.  There are recreational and cultural activities to enjoy.  Take some time to relax and enjoy our books, DVD’s and audiobooks.

We look forward to your coming to the greatest little library in the Berkshires.
