January Library Articles

A good snowstorm is nature’s way of calling the busyness to a halt… Enjoy!

The cold weather has set in and it sure feels like winter, but the winter solstice came on December 21 marking the beginning of winter with the longest night and shortest day of the year.  Now in January, we start adding minutes to daylight. Daylight Savings Time is coming on March 10!

It is a quiet time for the library.  A great time to come in and see all that is here. I invite you to spend time here and to talk with us about your interests and hobbies.  We are interested in learning what would make the library better.  We welcome your suggestions.

Here is another thought.  Come and start pulling all your information for your taxes.  Make this year the year you get everything together. Learning what is new for this year is easy with our tax manuals, tax guides, booklets, and the internet.

The Golden Globe Awards will be January 6!  You can review the movies from this past year and make a list of the DVD’s you need from the library.  We have them or we can order them. As the television programs end their fall and winter seasons, the DVD’s are released. NCIS is on season 15, and Grey’s Anatomy is releasing season

So think of winter as Quiet, Slow and Peaceful giving you time and space.  The cold, wind, and snow are all secondary.
