Finance Board/Selectboard Budget Meeting
March 7, 2019

Meeting called to order at 5:39 pm and is being recorded.
Purpose: Review Budget proposals for Fiscal Year 2020
Becky noted that the new Chart of Accounts was going to cause department heads to have to spend much more time doing their administrative work when paying bills due to the increase in the number of categories and program numbers per department.
Everyone also discussed how to read the new account numbering system. The three-digit code is the department code and the four-digit code is the category the expense falls into. The six-digit code then itemizes the category detail. Category 5112 appears to be Salaries and category 5190 appears to be stipends.

Both boards requested they meet with Highway, Rescue Squad, Recreation, Maintenance, Police, Council on Aging, School, and Fire. Becky noted the Library can be here for the budget meeting scheduled on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 5:30 pm.
