Beryl Bender Birch, internationally renowned yoga and meditation teacher, graduated from Syracuse University with degrees in Philosophy and English. She is the author of 4 books on yoga, including the best selling Power Yoga and Yoga for Warriors. Her school, The Hard & The Soft Yoga Institute, a Yoga Alliance accredited school, is one of the most prestigious and comprehensive yoga teacher training schools in the United States, and offers teaching certification programs all over the country. She lives full time at the border of Otis and Monterey with her two Siberian huskies.
