Minutes for Meeting of
March 21, 2016
Otis Town Hall
Meeting called to order at 6:05 pm and is being recorded and a quorum is present.
Present: Larry Gould, Bill Hiller, George Mabee, Lisa D’Orazio
Others Present: Chris Lynch of Matrix Design Group, Frank Tolopko, Bob Rosen, Ken Mayer, Laurie Flower
Approval of Meeting Minutes: The February 1, 2016 Technology meeting minutes were unanimously approved at this meeting. George made the motion and Bill seconded.
Review Computer Maintenance Proposal: John Shannon, from Network Engineering and Security out of Becket, presented a proposal for being the town’s new IT technician. Laurie currently uses John’s services at the school and she feels his pricing is reasonable for the services he provides. He has contracts with a lot of surrounding area towns. John’s service contract would run the town $2800 per year. The committee also discussed the separate cost of using John’s service to do the actual physical building rewiring upgrade with the new hardware we plan to purchase if we get the grant we applied for.
The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 6:49 pm.
